Criterions for the selection are
a) the average grade and
b) the subject of your former studies.
Up to 100 points will be distributed for the average grade. You can find more information about the distribution of points in the following regulation: Auswahlsatzung der TU Berlin (PDF, 171,8 KB)
100 points will be distributed for the subject of your former studies if it corresponds to the desired master’s degree program. If not, you will receive 0 points for this criterion.
The points of both criterions will result in your total score for the ranking list. The criterion average grade will be weighted with 80 % and the criterion subject will be weighted with 20 %.
For example:
You have passed your bachelor’s degree with the average grade 2,1 (German average grade) and thus you will receive 67 points. The subject corresponds exactly to the desired master’s program, so you will receive 100 points. Base on the weighting, you will participate in the selection process with a total score of 73,6 points.
