-----1. etkinlik Europe3D Arctic, Luleå & Oulu------
Just south of the Arctic Circle, you can find the two northernmost local groups of ESTIEM. The time has come for YOUR ultimate Arctic experience.
From November 26 to December 2 the Arctic cities of Luleå, Sweden and Oulu, Finland welcome you to join Europe 3D Arctic. What's going on in Swedish and Finnish politics? How are these countries handling the economic crisis? And what about the culture, do Finnish people really know how to dance tango and which country has the most blond-haired, blue-eyed people? Many questions, after this event you will have the answers!
Luleå and Oulu, the cities of snow and northern lights where heavy industry meets IT and high technology products. Do as Facebook, come here and like Luleå, and listen to the story of why they chose to build their brand new data center just ten minutes walk from Luleå University of Technology. Try yukigassen, a Japanese snowball fight sport which has become phenomenon for students in Luleå.
Continue to the country of Santa Claus, Finland. On the way from Luleå to Oulu you get to visit one of the largest steel mills in the world. In Oulu you will experience ice swimming, a bit chilly maybe but don’t worry - afterwards the famous Finnish sauna will heat you up again. And yes, be prepared to end the week in style with a Gala dinner you’ll never forget!
The event will start in Luleå Monday the 26th of November. Thursday the 29th we have rented a bus to transport all of you to the beautiful city of Oulu, where the event will finish, so think about this when you book your flight tickets! ------2. etkinlik Social Interaction Event, Eindhoven------
NO SATISFACTION, WITHOUT INTERACTION!
Introduction:
This event is a training event that revolves around helping ESTIEMers understand social interaction between men and women. Furthermore since this is a training event we will put this new found understanding into action immediately.
This gives the participants a chance to practice and perfect the new tools that will be handed to them.
The trainings topics will have a fine balance between serious and fun elements. An example of two training topics that balance each other out is ballroom dancing and sexy salsa dancing. Another example is a training in Partnership/Dating by Arjan Rooyens (who has his own social training company) paired with learning how to have a stimulating conversation with people without awkward silences. Other than that there will be cooking lessons, a case study, translating (the difference between what we say and what we mean), physical exercise (get your mind and your body in shape), cultural differences training and many more exciting topics.

We want to share this idea with our friends from the ESTIEM Network and develop a deeper
understanding of how companies can make their supply chains greener, and where are the
limits of customer responding in order to buy more green products.
Being located in the very Centre of Europe, Austria combines its long history with new intercultural influences. And therefore is target of millions of tourists every year. Get the chance to visit the two biggest cities in Austria. Explore the student city of Graz with its awesome night life and one of the best-preserved city centers in Central Europe and find out why Vienna is called the City of Music and the City of Dreams. Of course you will also be able to explore Austrians food, beer and wine and as a highlight we will visit the famous zotter chocolate factory where you can taste many crazy types of handmade chocolate.
Besides providing you a Business Simulation Game (for Production Scheduling) which is part of UT Vienna’s master program for Logistics you will be able to open your mind regarding responsibility all over the supply chain by lectures, workshops and company visits i.e. by lecturers from UT Graz, Fraunhofer Austria Research Group and other on-field professionals
